Rigid Materials & Finishing
Rigid materials, finished parts and fabrication.
From small printed components to thick routed panels and layered assemblies, Signs All Day plans production around the finished part. Printing, cutting, edge finish, paint, protection and mounting preparation belong to the same job.
Choose the material the project needs.
These material families are available for project planning and quotations. Published prices cover the listed standard construction; colors, specialty surfaces, specified brands and custom fabrication receive a project quote. Production opening status is shown at the top of the site.
| Material | Options and uses | Next step |
|---|---|---|
| PVC | White 3mm and 6mm for printed panels; black 3mm and 6mm available by quote. Thick PVC, including nominal 1/2, 3/4 and 1 inch, supports routed letters, dimensional components and painted fabrication. | PVC pricing · Material guide |
| ACM | 3mm and 6mm in standard and heavier-skin constructions. Brushed silver, black and other specialty finishes are quoted to the specified surface and printing requirements. | ACM pricing · Material guide |
| Acrylic | Clear nominal 1/8, 3/16 and 1/4 inch, plus thicker listed gauges. White and black acrylic are available by quote. Nominal thickness names and actual stock gauges are identified separately. | Acrylic pricing · Material guide |
| Solid aluminum | .040, .063 and .080 inch for rigid metal panels and custom components. Specify the gauge, finished size, coating and mounting requirements. | Solid aluminum |
| Styrene | .020 and .040 inch for lightweight display inserts, indoor graphics and coordinated sign packages. Heavier gauges and special applications receive a project quote. | Styrene · Request gauge and quantity pricing |
| HDU sign foam | Carved signs, dimensional elements and painted rigid fabrication. Density, thickness, geometry and finish are specified for the application. | HDU fabrication |
The edge is part of the finish.
Smooth, clean edges receive the same attention as the printed face. We select tooling and finishing passes for the edge your customer will see and handle. Thick routed work receives the finishing approach its material and geometry require.
Rigid production is more than printing sheets. Thickness, small features, hold-down, cut geometry and finish requirements determine how the part is manufactured. Small parts are welcome; handling is based on the actual quantity and production requirements, with no blanket six-inch minimum.
Painted, protected and assembled.
Painted rigid fabrication, film lamination, clearcoat and layered PVC, ACM and acrylic assemblies are available. PPG Break-Through is the normal paint system; Matthews is available when the architectural specification calls for it. The quote identifies the required coating and finish.
Corner-hole patterns, custom hole diameters, standoff-ready drilling and mounting preparation can be included. Send the hardware specification or a dimensioned drawing with hole diameters and center-to-edge offsets. Hole-critical work retains exact dimensions. Hardware supply and special mounting work are quoted as specified.

One project, several sizes.
The calculator accepts mixed sizes and quantities for one material construction, nests rectangles on 48 × 96 sheets and associates artwork with each size line. Enter decimals or fractions. Exact dimensions are the starting point; optional optimization records both ordered and calculated production sizes within your stated reduction allowance.
Printed routed jobs use a 3/16-inch bit and 3/16-inch separation between finished cut paths. Outer clearance, artwork bleed and size-reduction allowance are separate requirements. Final geometry, bleed, directional artwork and mounting details are checked before acceptance.
Import a CSV size list using width, height, quantity, filename columns. Upload corresponding files separately and match them by filename. ZIP packages and multipage PDFs can be supplied for preflight; automatic ZIP unpacking and PDF-page-to-line assignment are not offered in this release.
Production setup and artwork services.
Print-ready preflight, ordinary nesting and imposition are included. Minor production-file or cut-path corrections are quoted before changes begin; the published correction service starts at $50 per job. Graphic design, recreation, new layouts and content changes are separate quoted services. Material changes to artwork or geometry return for approval.
Samples that help your shop sell.
The rigid sample program is intended to put PVC, ACM, acrylic, routing, print and finishing examples in your customers’ hands. Request a standard material-and-finish kit, or ask about samples carrying your own branding. Dealer-branded samples are quoted as a production package, with the sheet allocation, finish, quantity and price confirmed before acceptance.
Production and delivery are separate.
Once production opens, standard production ships within two business days after order acceptance, payment and print-ready artwork approval. Ordinary contour cutting follows the standard lane. Next-business-day priority is +$100 per order for up to three 4 × 8 sheet-equivalents when confirmed; larger commitments require confirmation.
Carrier transit starts after production release. Blind shipping can go directly to your customer without Signs All Day pricing or promotional material. Parcel, freight and custom packout are priced for the actual shipment.
