ACRYLIC MATERIALS & FINISHES

Acrylic pricing starts with more than thickness.

Clear versus white, cast versus extruded, gloss versus matte/non-glare, color, translucency and finished-edge requirements can materially change both cost and production method.

FINISHED-PART QUALITY

The edge is part of the finish.

Smooth, clean edges receive the same attention as the printed face. We select tooling and finishing passes for the edge your customer will see and handle.

Common appearance choices

Clear glossCommon for first-surface or second-surface graphics, protective faces and dimensional work.
White / opaqueUseful for direct print, routed letters, panels and fabricated sign components.
Matte / non-glareUsed where reflection control or an architectural face is desired. Non-glare is a finish choice, not a requirement for every second-surface print.
Frosted / satin / translucentSelected for appearance, privacy, diffusion or illuminated applications and priced by the actual product.

Cast versus extruded

Both families have legitimate uses. Fabrication method, thickness tolerance, machining behavior, edge requirements and supplier availability should determine the choice rather than treating every sheet as interchangeable.

Standard versus specialty pricing

Clear acrylic from 1/8 through 1 inch now has published sheet pricing in the configurator. White, non-glare, frosted, specialty colors, unusual constructions and other specified acrylic products stay on the project path until the exact material and production method are confirmed.
