No size too small.
Small signs, narrow panels, presentation samples and one-piece replacements are welcome. A 5 × 20-inch panel is not rejected just because one side is under six inches. We review the material, geometry and handling rather than impose an arbitrary finished-size floor.
Very small, delicate or intricate parts receive a production review, not an automatic online price. Feasibility, minimum production charges and any dense-part handling are confirmed before acceptance.
Part count is the better pricing trigger
A dozen 5×5 pieces should not be priced like a full 400-piece nest. Conversely, a dense sheet creates more cutting starts/stops, removal, QC, counting, sorting and packing even when the raw substrate is identical.
Current high-density tiers
| Up to 128 finished parts on a sheet | Standard cutting lane |
| 129–199 finished parts on a sheet | +$50 / affected sheet |
| 200–349 finished parts on a sheet | +$75 / affected sheet |
| 350–599 finished parts on a sheet | +$125 / affected sheet |
| 600+ parts or unusual internal geometry / handling | PROJECT QUOTE |
Why not price from estimated cut time alone? Toolpath generators can be directionally useful, but geometry, acceleration, internal cuts, lead-ins and optimization can make predicted machine time unreliable. Part count provides a stable automatic trigger; unusually complex geometry moves to project review.
Why we do not impose a 6×6 minimum
For sheet-billed materials, small size by itself does not trigger a size surcharge; part count and handling determine whether a dense-sheet tier applies. Solid aluminum is different: it is billed by finished area using published small-format and standard-format rates with a 216-square-inch breakpoint. A production-safe 48×96 layout is about 105 pieces at 6×6 and remains in the standard density lane; a dense 3×3 sheet is about 406 pieces and falls into the +$125 handling tier because of the count, QC, sorting and packing work it creates.
Samples, prototypes and one-piece replacements
Show your customer a physical sample of the material, print and finish before a larger run. Custom presentation samples can use your artwork; small painted backers and layered examples can be quoted too. One replacement does not require repeating the original order quantity. Minimum production charges may apply.
