FREE 48 × 96 PRODUCTION TOOL

Sign sheet yield and nesting calculator.

Calculate how many finished rigid parts fit on a 48 × 96 sheet, how many sheets the quantity requires and how spacing or edge clearance changes the result. No account or email is required.

Planning result—not a production proof.Mixed rotation, artwork bleed, tool diameter, internal cuts, grain or face direction and finishing requirements can change the final production layout.
WHAT THE CALCULATOR DOES

Nominal nesting, exact routed layouts and planning grids.

Shared straight cuts with nominal sizing use the same planning model as the public Pricing configurator, including turned parts in remnant strips. Each dimension may be reduced by up to 3/16" within the published nominal cut-size allowance when needed for the planned cut spacing. The result and CSV show the calculated finished sizes, including separate sizes where remnant positions differ.

Routed cuts with nominal sizing off, a 3/16" gap and ½" outer clearance use the exact routed layout. Other combinations use a uniform planning grid at the dimensions and spacing entered. The result identifies which calculation was used.

Why a simple area calculation is not enough.

Dividing 4,608 square inches by the area of one sign ignores the unusable strips created by the part dimensions, required outside clearance and spacing between cut paths. The preview shows the actual layout used for the result, including any turned remnant positions.

Use the result to plan—then verify the real job.

  • Add print bleed outside the finished cut path where required.
  • Account for tool diameter, inside geometry and hold-down strategy.
  • Confirm material grain, face direction or directional artwork before rotating parts.
  • Complex shapes and final production nesting can change the calculated yield.
  • Very dense sheets may create additional cutting, counting, sorting and packing work.
